New notecards now available at the Food Shop in Peterborough<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Notecards from my artwork are now available at the Peterborough Food Shop<\/strong>, 374 Water Street. The images are taken from the collages in my series Pioneer Women and Paper Patchwork<\/em> as well as landscapes, and a new edition of vegetable paintings, very appropriate for a store that specializes in local produce. Great for your gardening friends.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Pioneer Women and Paper Patchwork 2024<\/strong><\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

\u200bIn Elisabeth Bacque’s new series, Pioneer Women and Paper Patchwork<\/em> 2013\/2024, she departs from traditional painting in oils and acrylics to use collage and mixed media to celebrate the courage and achievements of thirteen Canadian women pioneers of the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. Inspired by early patchwork quilts with their intricate and colourful patterns, she uses paper images, birch bark, old letters, journals, maps and recipes instead of fabric to tell their fascinating stories.<\/p>\n<\/div>
